High-Power Single Frequency Lasers
A 1319nm injection-locked laser module; shown without the module cover, but with the resonator cover in place. The footprint is 250mm x 525mm.High power guidestar lasers owe their power to two high power infrared injection-locked lasers: one at 1064 nm and one at 1319 nm. Single frequency power levels of 100 watts at 1064 nm and 60 watts at 1319 nm were demonstrated by the second-generation FASOR guidestar laser system.
FASORtronics has extensive experience in the design and construction of solid state single frequency lasers, both pulsed and cw. We are familiar with both “NPRO” and “micro-chip” designs, and with amplification to high power in ytterbium and neodymium fiber. Amplification to high power in Nd:YAG can be done either in a MOPA (Master-Oscillator, Power Amplifier) architecture, or, with greater efficiency, using an injection-locked design. We are familiar with all of these approaches, and with the electronic controls needed to stabilize these systems.
FASORtronics can do custom design, custom manufacturing, or can support you in your project, in a consulting role.
