Places - Santiago, Chile

In May 2009, the FASORtronics crew visited the European Southern Observatory VLT Telescope site in Paranal, Chile. We were conducting a preliminary design for four sodium guidestar laser systems to be installed on the the 4LGSF-UT4 telescope sometime in 2013. We were under contract with ESO from October 2008 through January 2010, and as part of the preliminary design we made a trip to the Paranal site to determine the site-specific requirements on our design. The following sets of photos chronicle this trip. We started and ended in Santiago, Chile. Our trip took us to Antofagasta, Chile and then out to Paranal, and back.
