FASOR Installation at Steward Observatory

FASORtronics completed the installation of the newly upgraded FASOR system after adding features to allow its remote operation. This system is the original prototype FASOR built in 2001 by the Air Force Research Laboratory for use by the Starfire Optical Range. It was provided to the University of Arizona through an Educational Grant from the Air Force Research Laboratory. FASORtronics completed the upgrades as part of a contract with the University of Arizona. Upgrades included a remote operation and alignment capability, operators GUI, and wavelength control to about 10 femtometers, among others. See pictures of this system in operation in the Media Gallery under Places - Tucson, Arizona.
